Our legs are the biggest parts of the body and it takes experience to feel comfortable playing with.
The program will prepare you for the foundation to walk into more technical training classes such as Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical with more confidence and ease.
Leg de Play is a sensual curriculum, that specializes in adult body, preparing 03 fundamental elements for dance beginners: The Dancing Body, The Feel & The Musicality for freestyling.
"Leg" - The Dancing Body - the "bone" of movements
The first part focuses on slow, high-intensity pre-hab, flexibility and strengthening exercises for the use of the Legs and other supported body parts.
Dancing requires a wider range of motion that needs to be conditioned safely and properly. If you ever feel your knee hurts or your back hurts when you dance, this is a great class for you.
At this part, the teacher will explain the autonomy behind the exercises, push you to sweat, stretch everything out and train the body with a hyped and "disciplined" vibe.
"de Play" - The Feel & The Musicality - the "ouzz" and the "tic tic"
After you are warmed up and the brain is no longer thinking about your life outside of the class.
That's where you will be at best in learning free-styling. Put yourself deeply within and this is just "time for you" and "you only".
The teacher will give you a little structure of movements and guide you how to explore dancing with your beloved body, how to listen to layers of sounds in the music and how to play with the body.
At the end of the class, "Leg de Play" should make you feel like a sophisticated movers, not because of large techniques, but because we have prepared a pre-foundational class and this is definitely a curriculum that will help you fall in love with yourself again and move like "your best self" in this program.
If you have had any pain, injuries in the past, please notify the front desk when you register, so that your teacher will know which range of motions/ alternative exercises should be included for you. Feel free to stop, take a little breath if you are tired and tell your teacher how your body feels during the class.
