Based on Ballet technique, you will be introduced to gentle and short exercises series on the floor to stretch your neck, your spine… and to strengthen as well your back and your inner arms and legs muscles in… length like ballet dancers do.
Transported with nice classical music, the rhythm can vary from fast energetic boosting piano beats to encourage you to keep the pace to gentle and soft melodies that will lift you and make you feel lighter.
Don’t get it wrong, this is NOT a ballet class, this is neither a fitness “boum boum” class (!), this is a class time for you to improve your posture and boost your confidence.
This class is to wake up your inner dancer!
As every child, our body response with movement to rhythm. We used to naturally dance because it feels good.
As we get older, we might have lost it because we don’t dare anymore, because we believe we don’t have coordination or sense of rhythm.
Believe me, you can dance.
Based on a very large variety of uplifting music, each routine is based on 3 or 4 basic steps that we will explore together following our own style, energy, personality and fitness level.
No technique, no dance experience required, wear what you want, join us when you feel!
Studio Mirrors are covered during this class because it’s not about how we look it’s about how we feel.
Your only goal during this class is to let your body groove and do what feels right for you.
To create a space in time for us to simply feel good and healthy.
I danced mostly all my life and then I had my children, became a busy mum getting sometime stressed at work, spent most of time on the desk, gained weight, lost confidence with my shape and realized that my mind and body were… disconnected.
I want to feel light, I want to feel strong, I want to feel joy and by experience I know that DANCING can help me to reconnect.
However, time has change, I’m not the same as before and I want to dance differently, I want to break the rules and I want to share dance to people with THAT difference.
Dancenter’s Motto is Dance for ALL. More than ever, I wish to embrace it fully.
